Neil Gamesby: Supply Teacher
I operate as a fully-qualified, directly employed, Local Authority Supply Teacher. This means that, without the need for an agency, I can be personally contacted, often at short notice, to fill a short, long or medium-term absence in your school. Being directly employed, I am able to taylor my approach to teaching to suit the schools in which I work and have the opportunity to become familiar to staff, pupils and parents alike! The enormous advantage of contacting me directly is that I am available to follow-up my work, if requested, and work in a small number of local schools, I am often available to fill bookings at little or no notice. With several years experience of teaching my own classes (primarily Upper Key Stage Two), I find that I am very successful at building rapport and achieving a calm and effective teaching environment by employing a range of successful behaviour strategies. However, I now feel that the variety that supply work presents best uses my skills of adaptability and reliability in the in a way which suits me and the schools whom employ me.
